Karl Kani is back on the scene with his new "LIVE by Karl Kani" clothing. The legendary fashion designer recently held a fashion show at Ritual nightclub in Hollywood, Cali, to showcase his Spring 2008 collection.
Kani hit the scene back in 1989 when he set up a store in Los Angeles. The following year he hooked up with the black-owned clothing company Cross Colours and launched his creations nationally. Kani clothing became a symbol of success and a fashion statement in the urban community. Cross Colours soon faded in 1995, yet Karl Kani held steady and continued to set the standard for the urban fashion world.
The Karl Kani style did start to lose its reach as the end of the 90's neared and the newer generations were looking to make their own mark on the fashion world. Although the style changed, the Karl Kani name has continued to echo throughout the urban community as a legendary brand. And now that legend in back in the game and coming strong.
